Jo Haunts

Jo Haunts is a native Floridian originally from the hometown of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. A Gemini, her birthday is on May 27. She first became interested in the paranormal realm as a very small child who spent lots of time in the very “spirited” city of New Orleans, La while visiting with her family there. Several years ago she left Florida and has relocated to the greater north metro Atlanta area after surviving the treacherous hurricanes Andrew, Katrina and Wilma. Jo is a naturally gifted clairvoyant, clairsentient, empathic and intuitive who has personally had many different types of paranormal experiences over the years. They have consistently happened to her throughout her life starting when she was a just very young girl. Some of these were quite frightening and disturbing to her. Jo is very well read and educated on many topics involving the paranormal, and the spirit world. She also reads tarot cards and PSI cards, is a Reiki healer and has the unusual ability to read stone and location vibrations through touch as well. Her personal deep seeded interest stems from the experiences that she has had. Additionally, she especially enjoys spiritual photography and is currently busy working on her soon to be released book “The Paranormal Chef”, chronicling her love for exploring both the paranormal world and the world of great food! You can bet it will be a hauntingly good read!

Professionally, Jo has also worked for over 22 years as an executive makeup artist and cosmetic educator traveling throughout the United States, also as a cosmetics account executive for many major companies including Estee Lauder, Princess Marcella Borghese, Alexandra DeMarkoff, Lancôme, Bobbi Brown, L’Oreal, P&G Designer and Prestige, Bare Escentuals, and Pur Minerals. She holds college degrees in Marketing, Organizational Management, and Journalism and is currently studying to earn her bachelors degree in Para psychic science.

Jo is also former model, and actress. During her younger years, she appeared in numerous film industry productions and print publications. Some of these include commercials for Toyota, Hooper's Choice Restaurants, Shooter's Restaurants, Coca Cola, Polar Beer, Donna Karen, Chic Jeans, New Man France, Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, The Florida Lottery (Gypsy Fortune Teller!), appearances in several episodes of the television series "Miami Vice", and even a few movies back in the 80’s. Titles include "Where the Boys Are", and "Revenge of the Nerds, Nerds in Paradise". She was formerly the national "Polar Beer Girl" as well.

There has always been an ongoing desire to explore, learn more, and explain the unexplained. This continues to be Jo’s ongoing quest; so it was inevitable that she would eventually found her group S.P.I.R.I.T. Southeastern Paranormal Interest, Research, and Investigation Team to work with similar minded groups and people from all walks of life exploring any and all aspects of the paranormal world. They do it for the personal research, to learn, to help others and to gain more knowledge of any and all things paranormal. S.P.I.R.I.T. actively seeks answers to the questions they all have regarding anything that goes bump in the night.

This is a fascinating and never-ending quest...
