As the resident parapsychologist of the
SCARED! Crew, Brian J. Cano, first recognized
his desire to explore the unknown at a young
age.  Growing up in Staten Island, New York,
Brian often took note of abandoned buildings
recessed within the woods near his home,
during Sunday drives with his parents.  They
called to him, sparking his imagination and
his curiosity.  Alone or with friends, Brian
began exploring the old and abandoned
buildings, despite the countless rumors of
what may have happened within their walls.
Tall tales of Satanic activity, missing
children or ghostly sightings were often
told, but instead of deterring Brian from his
new found hobby, this element of fear and
danger only served to add to the allure for
him.  Since then, Brian has been looking into
the darkness and exploring the dangers that
come with the decay of civilization’s
footprint.  Expanding his experiences in
urban exploration to include paranormal
investigation, there are few places he will
not go.

Since 2002 he's been recording his adventures
as one of the creators of SCARED!, a series
of documentaries on paranormal investigation
and urban exploration.  Producer, graphic
artist, editor, and parapsychologist, he wears many hats on the show. It is truly a labor of love. In 2009 he added "Internet Radio Host" to his list of roles as he host of "SCARED! on the Airwaves!", a weekly internet radio show
which served as an  official companion to the TV show.

Brian has appeared on the Travel Channel's
series, "Most Terrifying Places" as well as
on the morning show, "AM Arizona".

Brian's work has been praised in several
publications, including TAPS Paramagazine and
Haunted Times Magazine.  Various SCARED!
episodes have won awards at several film
festivals such as Best Editing ("SCARED! The
Shanley Hotel", 2008 Director's Chair Film
Festival; "SCARED! Philadelphia State
Hospital", 2009 Director's Chair Film
Festival), Best Local Film ("SCARED!
Philadelphia State Hospital, 2009 Director's
Chair Film Festival), an IPAA Award for Best
Music in a Paranormal Series as well as an
AEGIS Award ("SCARED! The Grand Midway Hotel"
2010).

Christopher Mancuso is SCARED!’s resident
skeptic. As a boy, Chris lived across the
street from the Old Staten Island Hospital,
and rumors of ghostly activity within the
walls of the former hospital were whispered
around the neighborhood. Peering out the
kitchen window daily, the castle-like S.R.
Smith Infirmary captivated his imagination
Talk of spirit activity and occult rituals
were countless during his youth, leading him
to wonder what truly remained in the vacant
walls that he had been too afraid to set
foot inside.  Little did Chris know that he
would be leading an expedition into that
very building almost two decades later.

In 2009 Chris had his first paranormal
experience at The Grand Midway Hotel in
Pennsylvania.  Although Chris admits that
although his encounter was an eye-opening
experience that has transformed him into a
believer, he still approaches every
investigation with the hope of a dreamer,
but the doubts of a skeptic, and looks at
each exploration as not only an
investigation, but also as an adventure.

Along with Brian, Chris edits their
documentary series, SCARED!, composes the
music and is involved with all levels of its
production.  In addition, he is a skilled
writer, having written many screenplays that
have been filmed by local directors.  To
date Chris has written a dozen feature
length screenplays and over twenty short
stories and scripts.

His work has been praised in several
publications, including TAPS Paramagazine
and Haunted Times Magazine.  Various SCARED!
episodes have won awards at several film
festivals such as Best Editing ("SCARED! The
Shanley Hotel", 2008 Director's Chair Film
